Welcome to James Morden Public School!

We are pleased to provide an outstanding education at James Morden School for our students. Innovative programs for our students are delivered by our dedicated and professional staff who care about your child. Our Board is focused on literacy and
numeracy achievement and creating an environment where we are working together on our goal of success for every student.

Our school provides innovative programs to address the needs of all our students, and our students participate in experiences and opportunities that encourage the development of excellence, integrity and respect.

Community Partnerships and parent involvement are crucial to a successful education for our students. We welcome your input and questions as we continually improve our school.

Sincerely,

Ms. S. Welsh, Principal

Project Share Challenge Winners

Congratulations James Morden! We were the School Challenge Winners in the Project Share Good News Breakfast Campaign! Together, we donated more than 3000 lbs of food, 100 lbs of toys and $750!

Thanks to the Grade 4s for all of their hard work and leadership with this project! They worked all month to ensure items were collected, calculated, and sorted. They also organized and ran the Primary Movie Night which allowed us to also have a cash donation for Project Share.

To recognize the classes who collected the most items, the Grade 4s ran cooking classes, teaching their fellow students how to prepare some tasty treats.

The Greg Frewin Theatre has reached out and invited all the Grade 1-8's to travel to a "Wild Magic Show", on January 17th! Stay tuned for more information. What an amazing way to celebrate our collaboration and teamwork!

BINGO FUNDRAISING

Please consider getting trained to help James Morden run BINGO. The training is one hour long at the Gale Centre (we can arrange transportation) and allows you to volunteer at BINGO. We are required to provide 2 volunteers at 1-2 BINGO sessions per month. BINGO sessions are 3 hours long at Delta Bingo (we can arrange transportation). BINGO provides our school with approximately $500 per session and pays for field trip bus costs, presentations to students in the classroom, school uniforms, and many other things that enhance student learning. We currently only have 2 regular volunteers and NEED MORE HELP! Please inquire at the office if you are interested in helping JAM with BINGO.

If you require general transportation information please go to www.nsts.ca or call Niagara Student Transportation Services at 905-346-0290.

DREAMBOX CHALLENGE

The school has started a DREAMBOX CHALLENGE! Students are encouraged to log on to Dreambox at home to improve their math skills in all strands of the Ontario Mathematics Curriculum. Research has shown that time on this individualized computer program is a good way for students to support their learning.

If you have any questions, please feel free to email the school for help!
